Aikido is a peaceful Japanese martial art originating in Tokyo and Iwama, Japan, practiced here in the USA in Clearwater, Florida that offers flexibility, self defense, discipline, endurance, and much much more.
Sensei Reuven Lirov, with over 24 years of experience in the martial arts, teaches Aikido with an emphasis on physicality, honesty in training, and martial spirit.
The "3 Levels"
Aikido of Pinellas County is a friendly and supportive martial arts group. Classes are growing here in Clearwater and more classes are being added all the time.
Classes focus on hand-to-hand martial arts, sword, staff, and meditation for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
AIKIDO AND SELF DEFENSE
Traditional martial arts training is primarily for the cultivation of the mind, body, and spirit.
Aikido in particular, as a practice, was founded as the "graduate level" study of martial arts focused on the balancing of assertion with non-aggression. The ultimate goal being resolution without fear of injury to both attacker and defender.
