Remote Training

"I created the remote training in response to the COVID-19 crisis as a way to accomplish two goals:

  1. Help my existing dojo family continue their training while off the mat in a meaningful way that contributes to the growth of their practice and reward/thank them for continuing to pay their dues during this challenging time

  2. Introduce Aikido's principles and practices to a wider audience so that more, in disparate locations, have the opportunity to learn about this amazing discipline

Our Remote Training program consists of two parts:

  1. AikiFit: Fitness is the cornerstone of any disciplined physical practice. It is impossible to achieve your full potential without a strong body. These custom-designed workouts are based on research in conditioning, strength building, and over a decade of fitness training and learning

  2. Aikido Weapons: We practice with the bokken (a wooden sword) and Jo staff (about the length of a broomstick). This practice helps to build clear, defined movement, technique, and eventually freedom in practice that allows you to create tremendous power with minimal effort
